Joanne started breeding 13 years ago, with lines from Purelee, DeMiara, Choc'Sugaw, Lake Hyco, and Purrydaze. Joanne quickly became a lover of the dilute colors, and aimed for the lilac and chocolate in as many of her breedings as she could, producing some exquisite type, in a variety of colors.

Joanne showed locally in Minneapolis with her husband Dennis.

She died on August 9th 2006, two days after her 70th birthday.

Debbie Nordby, also a friend of Joannes, will carry on the cattery in Joanne's name.
